The Wizard’s Bathtub

“Have I ever told you about the time I battled the fiery dragon of Centre-Earth?” Graydalf asked, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Graydalf, an elderly self-proclaimed wizard living in Sydney, was known to his family, and the neighbourhood, for his grand tales of mythical creatures and heroic feats.

His grandkids, little Freida and adventurous Sam, listened with a mix of amusement and concern. Freida glanced at Sam, her eyes filled with worry. They both knew that the battle wasn’t with dragons but against the ravages of time.

Graydalf’s stories filled the house, but it was his bathroom that presented a very real and pressing tale. His old and weary bathtub was far from magical, posing more challenges than comfort for the elderly wizard.

“Grandpa,” Freida began, her voice gentle yet firm, “We’ve been thinking about your bathtub…” But before she could finish, Graydalf interrupted, “My bathtub? Why, it’s as magical as the springs of Centre-Earth!”

Undeterred, Sam chimed in. “We’ve found some businesses for bath modifications in Sydney. They do great work and can make your bathtub safer and more comfortable.”

Graydalf chuckled, waving them off with a shake of his head. “My dear children, why would I want to change something that has served me well for so long? The tub is part of the magic of this house.”

But his grandchildren were not easily swayed. They knew the charm of the old tub had worn off and was replaced with potential risks. Determined, they delved into research, exploring bathtub cutout solutions for elderly people, walk-in tubs, grab rails, and non-slip flooring.

By the end of the day, they were armed with more knowledge about bathtub modifications than they ever thought possible. They prepared to present their case to Graydalf, ready to blend the magic of his tales with the tangible magic of modern technology, hoping to turn his bathtub into a safer haven for their beloved grandfather.
